Report from Montenegro.
In Cetinje, Montenegro, in front of domestic crowd, Montenegro and WAKO PRO Balkan champion Nikola Prlja, did not suceed to get WAKO PRO European title belt.
Diogo Miguel Silva from Spain has shown fantastic fight tonight giving not even a smallest chance to Prlja to come close to the title.
Diogo was superior from the first moment attacking with powerful low kicks in the opening of the first round. Mighty kicks gave him a chance to deliver strong punches and after one of these Prlja was in knock down at the end of the first round. The fact that Prlja received more than ten demolishing kicks only in the first round made this fight almost to be one way. But Prlja did not want to give up and he was fighting better in the second and third round which gave hope to him and his fans that maybe fight can go on his side. But, also in these rounds Silva was still better.
In the fourth and fifth round Diogo came even more stronger and he managed to put Prlja in knock down in each one of them. Prlja managed to stay on his feet and to finish the fight loosing it by points.
Diogo has shown top class and high level performance. On the other side Prlja has shown he is brave and proud fighter. He did not want to give up and was fighting till the end.
Congratulation for both of them, they have shown fantastic fight.
The championship belt was awarded by Ivan Strugar, President of Montenegro kickboxing federation, former WAKO PRO World champion in five different weight classes.
