A mega-event that can serve as a bridge to a future full of new opportunities and success for combat sports, especially kickboxing, in the country. This is one of the main mottos of the UAM Fight Night K1 Pro, which this Saturday will focus all the attention of the world of the sport in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

An important event for the region, it was presented at a high-level press conference, attended by Ali Khouri, head of the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation, Carlos Ramjanali, CEO of WAKO Pro, as well as six of the main fighters, most notably André Santos.

On the side of the local organisation, Ali Khouri was satisfied and optimistic. "I'm very proud of the support received from all the organisations. It reflects the United Arab Emirates as a destination for sporting events. I'm also very proud of the representation of 20 countries in these 15 fights. We also have four athletes from the UAE. We're looking forward to a brilliant event and to more in the future," he said.

On behalf of WAKO Pro, Portuguese Carlos Ramjanali praised the scale of the event and also expressed his "pleasure" at being present. "As an organisation, WAKO Pro focuses on the athlete, on giving space to talent, giving opportunities. Safety is also an important focus, which is why anti-doping is compulsory in all title fights," explained the organisation's CEO, who also made it clear that he hopes to see more events in the country in the future: "There's everything to have more events and to be able to make a difference.
